The Bahamas partners with the Dallas Cowboys to boost tourism, leveraging the team’s broad fan base in the U.S. Southwest for mutual benefit.

The BMOTIA of The Bahamas has established a long-term collaboration with the Dallas Cowboys, focusing on the U.S. Southwest region. This partnership is designed to attract the attention of Dallas Cowboys enthusiasts nationwide.

The Bahamas’ Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments & Aviation, The Hon. I. Chester Cooper, joined by Director General of the Ministry of Tourism Latia Duncombe and other high-ranking officials, marked the commencement of this alliance at the Dallas Cowboys vs. Detroit Lions match on December 30. This event also celebrated Jimmy Johnson’s entry into the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor.

This enduring pact will see The Islands of The Bahamas featured prominently during AT&T Stadium home games in Arlington, Texas. It includes television and radio advertisements, promotions with Bahamian themes, and interactive activities at the venue. Dallas Cowboys supporters will get the opportunity to participate in social media contests, winning either tickets to a home game or an extraordinary vacation to The Islands of The Bahamas.

Deputy Prime Minister Cooper expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting its potential to boost tourism from the central United States to The Bahamas. The agreement synergizes the Dallas Cowboys’ popularity with The Bahamas’ charm.

Chad Estis, Executive Vice President of Business Operations for the Dallas Cowboys, shared similar sentiments. He emphasized the alignment with The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism as a means to promote tourism to an outstanding location like The Bahamas, appealing to the Cowboys’ fanbase known for their love of memorable experiences and top-notch hospitality.

Latia Duncombe, the Director General of the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, described the alliance as mutually beneficial. She underscored the exposure The Islands of The Bahamas would receive among the Dallas Cowboys’ fans. The partnership involves several sweepstakes and marketing efforts targeting supporters in the Southwest and throughout the U.S., aiming to significantly increase travel to The Bahamas from this demographic.

The Dallas Cowboys, often called “America’s Team” and valued at $9 billion by Forbes, represent a strategic partner in The Bahamas’ national “Sports in Paradise” campaign. This initiative positions the country as a prime location for sports-related events, meetings, and conferences.
