The Toronto Section of the Alpine Club of Canada is thrilled to announce the arrival of the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour! This renowned festival, featuring four distinct screenings this year, promises to infuse Toronto with the essence of outdoor adventure. Join us at the Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema from March 8th to 10th, 2024.

Renowned as one of the globe’s premier mountain festivals, the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival is a beacon of outdoor exploration. Following closely on the heels of its annual gathering in the picturesque setting of Banff, Alberta, the festival takes to the road, traversing over 600 communities and spanning more than 40 countries worldwide. It showcases remarkable feats in outdoor storytelling and filmmaking, captivating audiences across the globe.

Carefully curated from over 400 submissions each year, the festival selects award-winning films and audience favorites to grace theaters worldwide. Offering glimpses into remote landscapes, addressing pressing environmental concerns, and delivering heart-pounding action from the world of extreme sports, the 2023/2024 World Tour promises an exhilarating and thought-provoking exploration of the mountainous realm.
