Forest Department’s eco-tourism centre at Baralikadu, Tamil Nadu, after remaining closed for tourists for five months have finally on Tuesday started accepting bookings from visitors prior to it’s reopening on Saturday.
A press release from the Department stated that the ones who are interested in visiting the eco-tourism centre should log on to their website – www.coimbatorewilderness.com for registration. For adults, the fee would be Rs. 550 each and Rs. 450 for children between 5 and 13 years.
Tourists can explore activities like coracle rides on River Bhavani and enjoying evening bathing in the river. Also, they can relish lunch prepared by the tribal communities.
On Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m, the centre will remain opened. To reach the centre, visitors can either use their own vehicles or public transport. According to the release, all COVID-19 safety protocols will be enforced at the centre.
