ANTOR, the association of National Tourism Offices and Representatives in Britain, has announced that Barbados will be joining their featured destinations, Miami, Hungary, Slovenia and Taiwan at the first ANTOR Meets MICE 2021, a digital-only event taking place on April 20 from 10AM-2PM. The event will be free to MICE buyers, planners and corporates.
ANTOR will be hosting the MICE industry virtual gathering, in partnership with International Confex and as part of the drive to kick-start the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events economies. The event will be hosted on the Virtual Events platform, which will allow the ANTOR members and a variety of industry partners to reconnect and network with MICE buyers in a series of fun, informative activities and one-on-one meetings. These activities will include live presentations, as well as product demos and a treasure hunt. There will also be a BYO Café for attendees to meet with colleagues and network with other professionals in the industry.
Euromic, a global DMC association with 50 member destinations, will also be joining the event and Paul Colston, managing editor of Mash Media’s international portfolio, will be the keynote speaker opening the session. There will be an additional expert panel discussion on the future of the market from the perspectives of destinations, exhibitions, incentives and DMCs, chaired by ANTOR chairman Tracey Poggio of Gibraltar Tourism. Event Director at International Confex, Duncan Custerson, said in a statement that the International Confex is proud to partner with ANTOR’s first virtual MICE event, which is also the first virtual MICE event for International Confex, to prepare for the live event at Excel, London this June 22-23.
