On Feb 7, Barbados celebrated interCaribbean’s first direct flight from Barbados to Jamaica, enhancing regional travel and boosting tourism.

On February 7th, a big event took place for Barbados tourism. The Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. (BTMI) celebrated the first flight by interCaribbean Airways that flew directly from Barbados to Jamaica without stopping. It was a big deal for everyone involved.

The big boss of interCaribbean, Lyndon Gardiner, a key person at BTMI, Craig Hinds, and a very important government official, Kerrie D. Symmonds, who takes care of foreign matters, all talked about how great this new partnership is for Barbados. They believe it’s going to bring a lot of good things to the island.

The team at BTMI is working hard to make Barbados a main spot for traveling in the Southern Caribbean and keep a strong connection with the Northern Caribbean. By working together with interCaribbean, they’re hoping to make a lot of areas better, like sports events, business, big parties, and the famous Crop Over festival. This new flight will also make it easier for people living in the Caribbean to travel around the region.
