Belgium ambassador arrives in Cairo

Ahmed Issa, the Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, received François Cornet d’Elzius in Cairo, who is the Ambassador of Belgium. They discussed ways to increase collaboration between the two countries in the areas of tourism and antiquities.

Yemenite Al-Bahar, the Assistant Minister for Technical Affairs and Minister In charge Dalia Abdel Fattah, the General Supervisor of the General Department of International Relations and Agreements at the Ministry also took part in the meeting.

The minister started the meeting by greeting the ambassador, emphasizing the resilient relations between Egypt and Belgium, which are marked by teamwork in several arenas, particularly in tourism and antiquities.

During the meeting, the Minister mentioned the progresses of the inbound tourism movement to Egypt from the Belgian market compared to the times before. Tourists to Egypt can now revel in the various tourist patterns and products that the Egyptian tourist destinations offer, including beach and leisure tourism, cultural tourism, family tourism and adventures among miscellaneous tourism products.
