Berlin Brandenburg Airport‘s summer flight schedule will commence on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024. This season offers a rich variety of travel options including beach and hiking vacations, city explorations, and long-distance journeys to destinations across Nordic and warm water regions in Eastern and Central Europe. A total of 68 airlines will connect BER to 148 destinations in 49 countries until October 27. The schedule highlights popular summer destinations like Turkey, Spain, France, and the UK, along with long-haul flights to New York, Beijing, Singapore, Doha, and starting from September, Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. Destinations such as Majorca, Antalya, Amsterdam, Vienna, and Zurich continue to be favored choices from BER.

Aletta von Massenbach, Chief Executive Officer Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH: “Numerous airlines and notably the three major airlines Ryanair, Eurowings and easyJet are expanding their services from BER, flying to new destinations or increasing the number of flights. There will be more flights to North America and Asia. The increase in this year’s summer flight schedule is largely due to the expansion of existing flight connections. Therefore, travellers can travel more flexibly to the destinations of their choice. This increases the attractiveness and connectivity of the capital region.”

During the summer, travelers heading to New York have the option of three airlines. United Airlines, joined by Norse Atlantic Airways resuming its route to the Big Apple on May 1 with flights four times weekly (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays), and Delta Air Lines beginning daily flights on May 10. Hainan Airlines boosts its flights to Asia, offering five weekly flights to Beijing (Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays), matching its pre-pandemic frequency. Starting September 4, just after summer, flynas will launch at BER, introducing a thrice-weekly service to Jeddah (Wednesdays, Fridays, Sundays).

Ryanair is expanding its BER offerings to 54 destinations this summer, adding six new routes. Starting March 31, it will serve Castellón, Spain, and Kaunas, Lithuania. From April 2, Birmingham, England, and Trieste, Italy join the schedule, followed by Dubrovnik, Croatia, on April 3. A new route to Reggio Calabria Airport begins on April 28. Ryanair will also increase frequencies on routes to Rome, Manchester, Chania, and Tallinn, offering 15% more seats than the previous summer.

Eurowings continues to grow, offering 40 destinations from BER, including seven new ones. Starting March 31, it will fly up to twice daily to Vienna and Zurich. From May 3, a new route to Yerevan, Armenia, begins, and from May 4, Tivat, Montenegro. In July and August, flights to Tunis, Tunisia; Adana, Turkey; and Casablanca, Morocco will start. Eurowings plans an 8% increase in seat capacity over last summer.

easyJet will operate over 50 routes from BER, including five new connections. For the first time, it will fly to Turkey, with routes to Antalya beginning March 17 and Izmir on April 3. Toulouse returns to the schedule on March 31, Birmingham on April 1, and Salerno on July 12, ideal for Campania region tours. Increased frequencies to Paris, Rome, and Zurich are planned, with a 7% rise in seat capacity over the previous year.

Aegean Airlines will boost its service to Athens by adding two additional flights each week, resulting in up to 12 flights per week starting 22 April, allowing for daily connections to the Greek capital.

Croatia Airlines is set to commence flights to Zagreb, Croatia, from 21 May, operating on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

LOT Polish Airlines plans to offer up to three daily flights to Warsaw from 3 July, including a new morning flight on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, thus providing additional connectivity in Warsaw.

Scandinavian Airlines will significantly expand its operations from BER, doubling its Stockholm Arlanda Airport flights to two daily and increasing Copenhagen flights to up to 16 weekly.
