The Bihar tourism division is upgrading tourist info centers and is also opening memento shops at these
centers from where they can sell indigenous art and crafts. Tourists would also get information regarding
diverse places to visit in Bihar.

Two information centers like these would be developed at the Rajendra Nagar Terminal and adjacent to Patna Sahib Railway station in Patna. Model tourist info centers would be launched in Rajgir, Vaishali and Bodh Gaya.

After receiving guidelines from Abhay Kumar Singh, the tourism secretary, the division’s director  Vinay
Kumar  Rai visited Patna Sahib and Rajendra Nagar tourist info centers. He requested the representatives
posted at these centers to stick to a dress code and initiate glow sign boards, signages, appropriate
interiors with amenities for sitting and screening for the presentation of tourist attractions in the locality. An amount of approximately Rs. 1 crore would be spent for advancement of these centers.

Souvenir shops at these tourist info centers would be functioned in cooperation with Upendra Maharathi Shilp Anusandhan Sansthan. Products linked to several art types like Pashan, Manjusha, Patna Kalam, Madhubani, and contemporary art would also be sold.

These centers would also have maps, flyers and advertising material with particulars regarding
numerous routes in Bihar.
