Blue Water Development, a leading outdoor hospitality and property management firm, is thrilled to unveil a series of enhancements across four of its beachfront hotels, representing an $8.8 million commitment to enriching guest experiences. As the spring break and summer seasons approach, these investments will fortify the infrastructure of these premier destinations.

The SeaLoft Oceanfront Hotel, previously known as the Atlantic Oceanfront Inn, has undergone a $4.7 million makeover to become Ocean City, Maryland’s trendiest beachfront hotel. Now sporting a chic, retro surf theme, the revamped hotel boasts modern luxury vinyl tile flooring, colorful carpeting, multifunctional plush sofas, warm-toned furnishings, and a retro dining set. Guests can unwind in front of a 55″ flat-screen TV, enjoy custom refrigeration, sip coffee from a BRU-pod Cuisinart coffeemaker, and relax on a private balcony with iconic Adirondack chairs. The hotel is adorned with artwork by Hamilton Glass and features local decorative touches. Just steps from the beach and nearby attractions, it also offers new beachside amenities, including complimentary chairs and a convenient bathroom facility.

In Dewey Beach, DE, the Bay Resort Waterfront Hotel is enhancing its facilities with a $120,000 investment. The upgrades include refreshed guest room furnishings, new bedding, vibrant paint, updated microwaves, and a new coffee program. The exterior is also receiving a facelift with advanced security locks and a freshly painted facade. The lobby snack shop will delight guests with new refreshments.

The Commander Hotel & Suites is injecting $2 million into an array of exciting upgrades. The hotel will feature new luxury-vinyl plank flooring, updated dining furniture, and revamped sofa beds. Bathroom improvements, a renewed pool area with safety-focused enhancements, and a rejuvenated restaurant facade are also part of the refurbishment. The lobby welcomes guests with a new look and added amenities including a coffee station and a cozy library.

Crystal Coast Oceanfront Hotel in Pine Knoll Shores, NC, is receiving a $2 million upgrade to transform its outdoor space into a vibrant retreat with a playground, picnic areas, hammocks, and fire pits, set amid beautiful landscaping and ambient lighting. A new live entertainment venue adds to the charm. The hotel’s restaurant will introduce a fresh bar and garage doors for an open-air dining experience.

Lastly, the Comfort Inn & Suites in Daytona Beach, FL, is boosting its appeal with a $10,000 investment. New facilities include a fitness center, a business kiosk with essential office equipment, and an updated food and beverage menu, ensuring a comfortable and convenient stay for all guests.

“Our guests deserve the best we have to offer, and we want our properties to have everything they need heading into the travel season,” said Lorrie Miller, Regional Operations Manager at Blue Water. “Our guests’ experience is always our top priority for these property enhancements, and we hope they enjoy these upgraded features.”
