BlueCat Networks, a forefront provider of essential services for overseeing network infrastructure management, automation, and security, has unveiled a range of thrilling new features throughout its extended portfolio.

“Organizations need to modernize their networks or risk falling behind,” said Stephen Devito, CEO of BlueCat. “Our 2023 acquisitions of Indeni and Men&Mice, along with expanded investments in our Integrity and Edge solutions, provide organizations with the flexibility and control necessary to manage, build on, and secure their networks so they can achieve their goals.”

Integrity, an integrated and authoritative DDI (DNS, DHCP, and IP address management) platform, serves as the cornerstone for modernizing network infrastructure. With Integrity, users gain seamless access to network resources across various devices and environments, ensuring uninterrupted operations even during outages.

The latest release of Integrity introduces support for new DNS record types, enhancing service delivery speed, while dynamic DHCP reservation deployment boosts automation. Organizations can now establish redundant multi-primary DNS architectures for uninterrupted network operations, alongside advanced API capabilities for seamless integration with third-party applications like ServiceNow or Terraform.

Additionally, Quick Service, an Adaptive Application for Integrity, simplifies daily network tasks for users with limited DDI expertise. It enables role-based access control, allowing designated users to perform key DDI tasks while mitigating the risk of unauthorized access.

BlueCat’s Edge, an intelligent DNS resolver, provides enhanced visibility and control over DNS traffic across various environments, aiding in detecting and preventing DNS-related threats like tunneling or hijacking.

With Micetro, acquired from Men&Mice, organizations gain network orchestration and IP address management capabilities, with improved support for third-party solutions and optional appliance bundling for enhanced reliability.

Infrastructure Assurance, stemming from BlueCat’s acquisition of Indeni, predicts and addresses network and security issues through proactive alerts and recommended remediation steps, bolstered by an enhanced analytics dashboard and automation features.

These advancements empower network, DevOps, and security teams to deliver fast, flexible, reliable, and secure network capabilities. According to a 2023 Enterprise Management Associates report, implementing BlueCat DDI could yield customers up to $1.5 million in additional financial benefits within the first year.

“Our customers are realizing the benefits of transforming their network infrastructure from an inflexible utility to one that’s optimized for change,” said Devito.
