Boeing announces Uma Amuluru as new HR executive VP

Boeing [NYSE: BA] has appointed Uma Amuluru as the new Chief Human Resources Officer and Executive Vice President of Human Resources, effective from April 1.Amuluru will take over from Michael D’Ambrose, who will retire in July after announcing his retirement plans. In her upcoming role, Amuluru will oversee Boeing’s strategies for talent management, worldwide talent recruitment, learning and development, compensation and benefits, employee and labor relations, along with diversity and inclusion efforts. She will report directly to David Calhoun, Boeing’s President and CEO, and will be a part of the company’s Executive Council.

Currently, Amuluru is the Vice President and General Counsel for Boeing Defense, Space & Security, a role she has occupied since early 2023. Before this, she was appointed as Boeing’s inaugural chief compliance officer, where she established the company’s Global Compliance organization, and was a member of Boeing’s Executive Council. Amuluru joined Boeing in 2017, with a rich background that includes being a former federal prosecutor and holding key positions within the U.S. government, such as counselor to the U.S. Counselor to the U.S. Attorney General and Associate Counsel at the White House under President Barack Obama.

D’Ambrose, who will assist in the transition until his retirement in July, joined Boeing in July 2020, bringing over forty years of business experience, including leading global human resources teams for notable companies like ADM, Citigroup, First Data, and Toys ‘R’ Us.
