Brands Travel Appointed to Represent NYC & Company in Mexico

NYC & Company, New York City’s official destination marketing organization, today announced the selection of Brands Travel as its new representative office in Mexico. Based in Mexico City, Brands Travel will spearhead travel trade, communications, marketing, and MICE efforts across Mexico, New York City’s ninth-largest international visitor market.

The account is led by Brands Travel CEO Carlos Ulibarri, with Carlos Baruki and Mauricio Castillo overseeing trade activity, and Rodrigo Medina managing public relations and marketing efforts in market.

Last month, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and NYC & Company announced that a record 62.8 million travelers visited New York City in 2017, comprising 49.7 million domestic and 13.1 million international visitors—including 466,000 from Mexico. An estimated 485,000 Mexican travelers are expected to visit the City in 2018.
