British Airways expands its inflight entertainment options

British Airways has expanded its inflight entertainment options, doubling the content available since the beginning of the year.

With over one million customers expected to watch content on long-haul flights this month, travellers can now enjoy a wide range of entertainment, including boxsets, movies, podcasts, and children’s programs.

The offerings include 75+ complete boxsets and 20 classic franchises, as well as more than 50 new movie releases, including exclusive content through its Paramount+ partnership.

The airline has also added over 770 pieces of audio for music lovers and offers British Original content for those seeking light-hearted comedy. Families traveling in August can choose from a variety of kid-friendly content, with more than 26 Kid’s Classics and 20 programs in the new ‘Summer Fun’ category. For travelers wishing to stream content on personal devices, the airline’s WiFi connectivity is available with different packages.

Additionally, British Airways is enhancing its meal offerings for flights to Delhi and Mumbai from London Heathrow, introducing full secondary hot meals across all cabins and chilled snacks for Club World passengers. On August 9, a new snack will be introduced in Euro Traveller, offering a choice of banana cake or a sultana flapjack. The airline has also updated its lounge menus, offering hot breakfasts, afternoon tea, and Great British Picnic treats.

Moreover, the airline has invested in its lounges’ beverage offerings, including an enhanced selection of cocktails, locally crafted beers, and other beverages. Customers can now enjoy a Whispering Angel bar at London Heathrow Terminal 5, offering the famous rosé before their flight. British Airways has introduced seasonal menus and complimentary ice-cream for long-haul daytime flights, as well as pre-takeoff bubbles in World Traveller Plus. These enhancements aim to provide a more enjoyable and satisfying travel experience for customers during the summer holidays and beyond.
