Brundage Mountain Resort is fully back in action for the season, with all chairlifts now officially open following a powerful Christmas storm cycle that blanketed the mountain in fresh snow. On December 28, 2025, the opening of the Lakeview Triple Chair marked the final step in restoring full lift operations, just in time for the busy holiday period.
The recent storms brought 10 to 15 inches of fresh snowfall, giving Brundage’s mountain operations team the perfect conditions to safely prepare the Lakeview Zone for guests. With every lift now running including two high-speed quad chairs skiers and riders can easily explore nearly 1,500 acres of diverse terrain, soaking up everything the mountain has to offer.
From wide-open groomers to scenic views and deep snow stashes, Brundage is once again delivering the kind of uncrowded, authentic mountain experience it’s known for making it an ideal destination for winter adventure in the heart of Idaho’s backcountry.

The resort’s lift system is specifically designed to ensure smooth flow, spreading guests across the mountain before peak crowds form, enhancing the overall guest experience.
In addition to Lakeview, Brundage Mountain also operates two high-speed quads on the front side of the mountain, which will help ensure minimal wait times and more access to the resort’s expansive terrain. Visitors can now enjoy nearly 1,500 acres of open skiing and snowboarding, with more terrain expected to open in the coming days.

However, some areas of the resort, including North, Rodeo, Slobovia, and Judd’s Gem, were affected by high winds from the storm, which downed dozens of trees. Slope maintenance and patrol teams are actively removing these hazards and working to repair the snowpack, with more runs expected to open early next week.

To celebrate the New Year, Brundage Mountain Resort will host its annual Light Up the Night celebration on New Year’s Eve, featuring a torchlight parade, fireworks, and family-friendly activities in the base area.
