Build up tunnels to encourage Himachal tourism, Samiti says

The Mugla Vikas Samiti of Chamba has hailed the recent decision of the government to build a tunnel that would start from Chamba to Chowari. It would ensure connectivity with the district headquarters.

Also, yet another tunnel could be made below the Sach Pass. This would connect the high mountain surrounded Pangi valley. The president of the samiti, Hari Ram Puri, said in a letter which he wrote to the Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.

Puri showed hope that the tunnels once constructed would pave the way for developing a captivating tourist circuit of Chandigarh, Manali, Kullu, Atal Tunnel, Pangi, Lahaul, Chamba and Pathankot, thus promoting tourism business. Furthermore, these tunnels through virgin hills would provide a relaxed trip for the tourists.
