Vietnam Advances AI Hotel Guest Engagement as ROOMIE Expands Smart Hospitality Technology Across Hotels. The shift is gaining pace as hotels look for faster, simpler and more personal ways to serve travellers. Vietnam Advances AI Hotel Guest Engagement as ROOMIE Expands Smart Hospitality Technology Across Hotels because rising visitor demand, mobile-first service and AI adoption are changing how guests interact with properties. ROOMIE brings live chat, digital requests, web check-in and other services into one platform. Therefore, hotels can respond faster, reduce friction and build stronger guest relationships. Vietnam’s smart-tourism push makes this transformation more important for the hospitality sector.

ROOMIE Brings Digital Hotel Guest Engagement to the Forefront

ROOMIE describes its technology as a single guest-engagement platform designed for smartphones, tablets and televisions. Hotels can use it to communicate digitally with guests while bringing different services into one system.

Official ROOMIE information lists functions including live chat, notifications, room service, guest requests and web check-in. Hotels can also use the platform for promotions, food and beverage services, shopping, tours and other upselling opportunities. A central web-based management system allows hotel teams to manage these functions.

Vietnam Hospitality Spotlight Grows at HORECFEX 2026

ROOMIE gained direct exposure to Vietnam’s hospitality sector through HORECFEX Vietnam 2026, held at the Ariyana Convention Centre in Da Nang on 20–21 August.

The official HORECFEX programme identified ROOMIE Hospitality CEO CS Goh as a speaker. His session, “Guest Engagement Excellence with ROOMIE Solutions,” took place on 21 August.

HORECFEX describes itself as an annual Vietnam hospitality and tourism exhibition focused on technology and innovation. Its 2026 event projected more than 4,000 attendees, 80 exhibition booths, 500 decision-makers, 90 speakers and 65 specialist sessions.

ROOMIE Sees AI, Personalised Experiences and Vietnam Expansion Driving the Next Hospitality Shift

At HORECFEX Vietnam, CS Goh of ROOMIE Hospitality explained that ROOMIE is a hotel guest engagement platform designed to help hotels serve, communicate with and engage guests from social media platforms through to their stay at the hotel. He said this was ROOMIE’s first time exhibiting with a booth at HORECFEX Vietnam after attending the previous year without one, adding that the event offered strong exposure as the company works to establish its market in Vietnam. Within about three hours, ROOMIE had already generated more than 20 to 30 leads for follow-up. Goh said the company wants to establish its market in Indochina, especially Vietnam, and views the event as an important platform for connecting with hotels that ROOMIE can support through its services. Discussing industry trends, he said travel discovery and decision-making are increasingly influenced by AI and engagement rather than websites, meaning hotels and travel agents need to build stronger relationships with millennials and Gen Z. He believes travel decision-making is moving towards an increasingly AI-based model. In Vietnam, Goh sees major opportunities because the country is growing quickly, has a strong domestic market and is becoming increasingly international. He said hotels and travel players need to build better relationships with international travellers while breaking down language barriers. Technology, particularly AI, is expected to change hospitality from how travellers decide where to go and what to do to how hotels serve their guests. On sustainability, ROOMIE aims to educate guests about actions that support hotels, destinations and greener practices, while also using platforms, data analytics and AI to help hotels understand their sustainability position. Goh said travellers in 2026 are increasingly looking for unique and special experiences, something Vietnam can offer through its rich culture and diverse population. ROOMIE is showcasing how technology, AI and good service can help hotels break down language barriers and improve guest relationship management, with more guest interactions moving to mobile devices. Looking ahead, ROOMIE aims to strengthen its presence in Vietnam, gain more customers and potentially make Da Nang its headquarters for Indochina, serving Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and other regional markets from the city.

Travellers Can Access More Hotel Services Digitally

For hotel guests, ROOMIE is designed to reduce dependence on traditional calls to reception.

According to ROOMIE’s official guidance, guests can connect through hotel Wi-Fi and pair their device using a room QR code. Available services depend on the individual hotel.

Where activated, guests can use ROOMIE for hotel service requests, room service and live chat. Web check-in also allows travellers to complete part of the arrival process using their smartphones. ROOMIE Cast can allow compatible hotel televisions to connect with guests’ personal devices.

Vietnam’s Record Visitor Growth Raises the Need for Smarter Hotel Operations

Vietnam’s tourism growth strengthens the business case for digital hotel services.

The National Statistics Office reported 1.99 million international arrivals in August 2026, up 18.4% from August 2025. During the first eight months of 2026, Vietnam welcomed 15.9 million international visitors, an increase of 14.4% year on year and the highest eight-month total recorded in many years.

More international travellers can mean heavier demand for check-in services, hotel information, guest communication, dining and operational support.

AI and Smart Tourism Become Part of Vietnam’s 2030 Direction

ROOMIE’s Vietnam presence also comes during a wider national digital transformation.

Vietnam’s tourism authorities have set out plans for 2026–2030 to develop a connected smart-tourism ecosystem. Official priorities include greater use of artificial intelligence, virtual tourism assistants and advanced technologies serving tourists, businesses and tourism authorities. Vietnam also plans to strengthen digital tourism databases and information-sharing systems.

For Vietnam’s hotels, this creates a clear direction: technology will increasingly shape how visitors communicate, request services and experience a property. ROOMIE’s guest-engagement model places it directly within this broader shift towards digitally connected hospitality.

Vietnam is advancing AI hotel guest engagement because travellers increasingly expect fast, simple and personalised service across their stay. ROOMIE’s expansion shows how smart hospitality technology can help hotels respond to that demand through digital communication, web check-in, service requests and mobile interaction. The change is also supported by Vietnam’s wider smart-tourism direction and international visitor growth. As more hotels adopt connected tools, guest service can become quicker, easier and more responsive. The result is clear: Vietnam is building a more digitally connected hospitality sector, while ROOMIE is positioning its platform to support hotels as traveller expectations continue to evolve.
