Egypt’s tourism sector has undergone significant expansion, with its revenues more than doubling from $7.2 billion in 2014 to $15.3 billion in 2024. The country has witnessed a 59.6% rise in international visitors, with the number of tourists increasing from 9.9 million in 2014 to 15.8 million in 2024. This rapid growth highlights Egypt’s rising global appeal and its ambition to establish itself as a premier tourist destination.
As part of its long-term vision, Egypt has set a goal of attracting 30 million tourists by 2032, reflecting its commitment to sustainable tourism expansion and infrastructure development. This initiative has already listed 156 tourism-related investment opportunities as of January 2025, reinforcing the country’s commitment to expanding its tourism sector sustainably.
