The Canadian Government is funding across British Columbia to revive community spaces, allure new
tourists and encourage native economies.
Safe and comprehensive public spaces and lively tourism charms are important to effervescent
communities. They assemble people of all ages and aptitudes, backing businesses and improving financial
strength.
Honorable Harjit S. Sajjan, the Minister of Emergency Preparedness and also responsible for the Pacific
Economic Development Agency of Canada (PacifiCan), declared more than $2.6 million in PacifiCan subsidy for 16 schemes all through Vancouver Island and the Coast. This comprises $750,000 for one plan subsidized through the Canada Community Revitalization Fund and more than $1.9 million for 15 developments financed with the help of the Tourism Relief Fund.
The K’omoks First Nation is getting $750,000 with the help of the Canada Community Revitalization reserve to assist in creating a community park and meeting space in Comox, B.C. New facilities will comprise a play area, porch, restroom and outdoor pantry. This will be the first open-air assembly place for the K’omoks First Nation.
