Capacity building and training program in Meluri

On October 2, the Division of Tourism in association with Nagaland Tourism Association (NTA) held a
capacity building and training program at Pochury Hoho Conference Hall in Meluri. This programme
corresponded with the Yemshe Mini Hornbill Festival, which is the leading carnival of Pochury Nagas.


This creativity, dedicated toward boosting the tourism segment, was graced by 36 members from villages across Meluri sub division of Phek district.


In a crucial speech, S Peter Trakha, the Assistant Director and Senior Tourist Officer of Phek and Kiphire,
highlighted the huge prospect of the Nagaland tourism sector.


Jonpa Jurry, Pochury Hoho president highlighted the status of community involvement toward tourism
growth.


Kejaroko Pieru, the President of the Nagaland Association of Tour Operators (NATO) spoke regarding
the tourism prospects in Nagaland. He talked about the rich tapestry of Nagaland’s tourist allures, revealing new angles regarding upholding the region’s exclusive contributions predominantly the sub-division of Meluri.


Veshehu Kezo, the General Secretary of the NTA, delivered wide-ranging visions into the skill of tour guiding, emphasizing the part played by well-informed guides toward increasing the tourist experience.
