Carnival Cruise Line has once again clinched the prestigious title of Best Ocean Cruise Line in the USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards for the second year running. Additionally, the Carnival Celebration, a recent enhancement to its fleet, earned top marks in both the dining and entertainment categories.,
“To win the ‘The Best Ocean Cruise Line’ award for a second consecutive year is a testament to the loyalty we value so greatly from our guests as well as the outstanding commitment of our team members who work diligently to create the fun and memorable experiences we’re known for across our beautiful fleet,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.
The nominations for the 10Best Awards were determined by a group of experts from the cruise industry, and the winners were chosen through an online voting process by readers of USA Today, who evaluated cruise lines across various service and product categories.
USA Today judges’ note that Carnival “caters to families and casual cruisers with its fleet of ‘Fun Ships.’ On these large cruises, passengers have no excuse to feel bored; ships come equipped with water parks, glitzy casinos, live entertainment, and a focus on diverse, casual dining, highlighted by a partnership with celebrity chef Guy Fieri to bring Guy’s Burger Joint to the fleet. All of this comes at affordable price points.”
This recognition comes as Carnival embarks on a significant expansion phase initiated in 2021. The introduction of the new flagship, Carnival Jubilee, in Galveston, Texas, marks a milestone. Carnival Firenze, set to be the 27th ship in the fleet, is anticipated to start sailing from Long Beach, California, on April 25, 2024. Additionally, Carnival has unveiled plans for the opening of Celebration Key, an exclusive destination, in the summer of 2025, and announced the addition of a fourth Excel class sister ship, joining the ranks of Carnival Jubilee, Carnival Celebration, and Mardi Gras by 2027.
