Celebrity Cruises has announced the cancellation of several scheduled visits to Labadee, Haiti, for sailings scheduled between April 2025 and April 2026. The change impacts at least ten cruises aboard the Celebrity Apex and Celebrity Beyond, which were originally set to visit the popular private destination.
Instead, the cruise line will reroute these sailings to alternative ports, including Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos, and George Town, Grand Cayman.

In official notifications sent to booked guests, Celebrity Cruises explained that the decision was made to enhance the guest experience, stating: “To provide you with a better experience, we have made the decision to cancel our visit to Labadee, Haiti.” The company further confirmed that most affected sailings will now feature an extended stop at Grand Turk from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Impacted Itineraries and New Ports of Call
The cruise line is particularly adjusting itineraries aboard the Celebrity Apex, which had scheduled eight visits to Labadee between December 2025 and April 2026. Additionally, two itineraries aboard the Celebrity Beyond, departing in April 2025 and August 2025, will no longer visit the Haitian port. The cruises will instead visit Grand Turk or, in some cases, George Town, Grand Cayman, depending on the sailing.
For those itineraries sailing to the Western Caribbean, the itineraries will also be updated to include an extra stop at Cozumel, Mexico. These shifts reflect Celebrity’s efforts to adapt to changing circumstances while providing their guests with alternative high-demand destinations.

Background on Labadee’s Status and Recent Cancellations
Celebrity Cruises’ decision follows earlier cancellations of Labadee visits that had occurred during the 2024-2025 winter season. The company had already removed stops at the destination aboard the Celebrity Apex for that time period, citing safety concerns in Haiti.
Despite these cancellations, Royal Caribbean International, which owns Labadee, resumed regular visits to the port in October 2024. Several ships, including the Explorer of the Seas, Adventure of the Seas, and Voyager of the Seas, have been making regular stops at Labadee. Additionally, Oasis-class vessels like the Oasis of the Seas and Symphony of the Seas are expected to call on Labadee in April 2025.
Celebrity Cruises had been one of the prominent cruise lines using Labadee as part of its Eastern Caribbean itineraries, with port calls scheduled alongside popular destinations such as Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas and Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic. However, the most recent adjustments to itineraries remove most of the brand’s scheduled visits to the Haitian port.
Looking Ahead to Celebrity’s Caribbean Sailings
While these itinerary changes impact several future sailings, Celebrity Cruises has assured passengers that the new port calls, such as Grand Turk and George Town, will provide exceptional experiences in the Caribbean, maintaining the high standards for which the brand is known.
