CGI partners with UK’s NATS for a 7-year deal to modernize air traffic control’s digital infrastructure, enhancing safety and efficiency.

CGI, a global leader in IT and business consulting services listed on the New York Stock Exchange and Toronto Stock Exchange, has been chosen as a strategic partner by NATS, the premier air traffic control service provider in the UK. This partnership is set to revolutionize and upgrade NATS’ digital backbone, enhancing air traffic management across the UK.

This seven-year contract represents a milestone, marking a year of collaborative efforts. It encompasses data center and hosting services aimed at bolstering the resilience, adaptability, and expandability of NATS’ crucial digital framework. CGI will play a pivotal role in transitioning NATS to a hybrid cloud infrastructure, employing a nimble approach to service delivery. Moreover, CGI will offer consultative expertise and methodologies for managing and transforming NATS’ intricate IT landscape.

NATS is responsible for air traffic services at 14 airports across the UK and oversees all UK airspace operations from its control centers in Swanwick, Hampshire, and Prestwick, Ayrshire.
