Champions Boat League to attract tourists in huge numbers

Kerala is giving tremendous importance on the innovative Champions Boat League. This event will be organized in the southern state at the later part of this month to improve its tourism sector even further as a crucial all-season experiential place for tourists, on Tuesday, an official said the same.

The snake boat race competition is modelled after the cricket IPL, is being advertised by Kerala as a significant festival that it is immensely powerful to draw large number of tourists from around the world.

K Biju, the state tourism secretary, told reporters that after posting an imposing rush in tourists from all over India, Kerala has gained additional traction as an important experiential destination for all-season with its ground-breaking products like Champions Boat League that is IPL-model, supporting the southern state to perk up its position as a highly-preferred hub for the tourists.

He stated that the third edition of the yearly CBL, kick-starting at the later part of September, is hoped to boost up domestic footfalls in several regions of Kerala.

Spread out in the backwaters all across this southern state, CBL provides a rare visual treat where wonderful snake boats motorized by several rowers on each race over the bright green backwaters, Biju said.
