Lucknow’s Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport set a new benchmark in November 2024, recording an impressive 6.29 lakh passenger movements in a single month. Leading the international travel routes were Dubai, Muscat, and Dammam, while Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru topped the domestic charts. The airport also experienced a significant rise in average daily passenger numbers, achieving its highest single-day footfall of the year.
Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport (CCSIA) in Lucknow set a new milestone in November 2024, handling a record-breaking 6.29 lakh passengers. Among international destinations, Dubai, Muscat, and Dammam emerged as the most popular, while domestic travel accounted for over 5.24 lakh passengers, complemented by 1.05 lakh international travelers during the month, according to an official statement.
The airport saw a remarkable 12% growth compared to November 2023, when passenger traffic stood at 5.6 lakh. Average daily footfall surged to approximately 21,000 passengers, up from 18,600 per day in the same period last year.
November marked a significant milestone for the year at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport, with the highest daily passenger footfalls recorded on November 10 at 22,686 passengers and on November 17 at 22,986 movements.
In November 2024, the most popular international routes from Lucknow were Dubai, Muscat, and Dammam, while Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru ranked as the top domestic destinations. Currently, Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport (CCSIA) connects travelers from Lucknow and nearby areas to 29 domestic and 10 international destinations.
The average number of daily passenger flights rose to 140 in November 2024, compared to 134 in the same period in 2023. The airport is operated by Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL), a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises, the flagship entity of the Adani Group, known for its global diversification.
