Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai

The Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai is thrilled to announce the return of Executive Pastry Chef Yanisa Wiangnon to its culinary brigade. Famed for her prowess in creating scrumptious desserts, Chef Yanisa is set to enchant guests once again with her exquisite dessert offerings. Chiang Mai, celebrated for its juicy strawberries due to its ideal climate and terrain, serves as a perfect backdrop for the resort’s commitment to using only the best strawberries, offering guests a taste of their luscious sweetness throughout the year.

Originally hailing from Roi Et Province, Chef Yanisa has traversed the pastry landscape, garnering rich experience before returning to her beloved Chiang Mai. “Chiang Mai feels like a second home to me,” Chef Yanisa, affectionately known as Chef Khwan, expresses with a smile. “The captivating environment, the vibrant local culture, and the burgeoning dessert scene here never fail to inspire me,” she adds.

Collaborating with local strawberry farms such as Sakura-ichigo, renowned for their expertise imported from Japan, the Resort emphasizes its commitment to quality and sustainability. “At Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai, we prioritize sourcing the freshest, most flavourful ingredients,” Chef Yanisa emphasizes. “Our partnership with farms like Sakura-ichigo reflects our dedication to sustainability and supporting local communities.”

In a tribute to this harmonious collaboration and the alluring tastes of Chiang Mai, Chef Yanisa introduces the “Sweet Sensation” dessert buffet. This lavish event features over 40 delectable desserts, including favorites like strawberry cheesecake, strawberry shortcake, and strawberry crepe cake. The buffet, enhanced with live dessert stations, allows guests to watch the magic of dessert creation firsthand with items like cronuts and chocolate fondue. Additionally, the menu includes a variety of other desserts such as coconut cake, Japanese caramel custard, and diverse ice cream flavors.

“I wanted to spotlight the unique flavours of Chiang Mai’s bounty and honour the hard work of local farmers,” Chef Yanisa shares warmly. “By featuring strawberries prominently in our dessert buffet, we not only provide a delightful experience for our guests but also champion sustainability principles.”

The “Sweet Sensation” dessert buffet will take place on Sundays—April 14 and 28, May 12, and June 16, 2024, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the KHAO by Four Seasons restaurant. The event, priced at THB 1,150++ per person, includes soft drinks, tea, coffee, and a complimentary mocktail.
