Cheval Maison – West Regent secures planning approval for exciting development project

Located in the heart of Blythswood Hill, the upcoming Cheval Maison – West Regent will mark a distinctive addition to Glasgow, introducing a novel concept of luxury serviced apartments accompanied by a ground-floor restaurant, gymnasium, lounge area, and a rooftop terrace bar offering sweeping views of the city center.

Situated within the central Glasgow conservation area, the development has been meticulously designed to embody a sustainable and contemporary aesthetic, harmonizing with the existing architectural landscape. Positioned at 139 & 141 West Regent Street, Cheval Maison – West Regent will feature 70 apartments, including 27 standard studios, 15 large studios, 23 one-bedroom apartments, and five two-bedroom apartments.

Simon Mullen, managing director of 141WRS, expressed enthusiasm about the project, envisioning its transformative impact on a previously neglected space, breathing new life into a prominent corner of the city center. Mullen anticipates leveraging Cheval Collection’s extensive experience in serviced apartments to attract both international guests and the local community.

Managing director of Cheval Collection, Mohammed S. Alawadhi, commended the progress made with the support of Glasgow city council, emphasizing the company’s commitment to contributing to the revitalization of this historic area. Alawadhi highlighted the rising global demand for serviced apartments in dynamic cities, citing the flexibility and profitability of this model, and expressed anticipation for further property announcements in 2024. Currently operating in nine locations in London, three in Edinburgh, and one in Dubai, Cheval Collection is poised for continued expansion.
