China Airlines, headquartered in Taiwan, announced the initiation of direct flights to Seattle, known as the “Emerald City,” beginning on July 14, 2024. This new service from Taipei to Seattle will enhance the airline’s offerings in the northwestern United States, providing five flights a week using the Airbus A350-900. This expansion not only adds more travel options between Taiwan and the Americas but also aims to increase China Airlines’ presence in the Asian transfer market and stimulate its business growth through its broad regional network.
The direct flights from Taipei to Seattle by China Airlines will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Flight CI022 will depart from Taoyuan Airport at 23:30, reaching Seattle at 19:50 local time after an 11-hour journey. For the return trip, flight CI021 will leave Seattle at 01:40 local time, arriving at Taoyuan International Airport at 05:05 the next morning, following a 13-hour flight.
To commemorate the introduction of direct flights to Seattle, China Airlines is excited to announce up to 22% off on return flights. This makes trips to Seattle more accessible, with Economy Class tickets from Taiwan starting at just TWD 19,725 (excluding taxes).
