Club Med’s Rachael Harding: Asia’s inspiring executive of the year

Rachael Harding, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) overseeing Club Med operations in East, South Asia, and the Pacific, has been honored as one of the “Asia’s Most Inspiring Executives 2023” at the prestigious Asia Corporate Excellence & Sustainability (ACES) Award.

Headquartered in Singapore, Rachael plays a pivotal role in guiding Club Med’s commercial endeavors across the Asia Pacific region (excluding Mainland China). Her strategic leadership navigates complex geo-centric dynamics, emphasizing a compelling brand promise and a profitable growth strategy. This strategy focuses on nurturing mature markets while concurrently elevating emerging guest segments.

Known for her inspiring, creative, and innovative business approach, Rachael is a passionate leader with a wealth of experience spanning over 25 years in various facets of the travel and tourism supply chain. Her expertise encompasses retail, corporate, and wholesale sectors, with a significant footprint in the Asia Pacific, UK, and European markets.

Rachael joined Club Med in 2018 as the General Manager for Club Med Pacific (Australia and New Zealand). In just three years under her leadership, the Pacific market witnessed a remarkable growth of 26 percent. Prior to her tenure at Club Med, Rachael spent 15 years with The Travel Corporation, where she led the brand sales team, earning accolades such as Saleswoman of the Year 2018 and recognition as one of the top 10 most influential women in the 2019 Travel Awards.

The Asia Corporate Excellence & Sustainability Award, inaugurated in 2014, stands as one of the most prestigious honors, acknowledging inspiring leaders and sustainability advocates across Asia.
