Collinson, a leader in airport experiences, loyalty programs, and customer engagement, along with owning Priority Pass, has entered into a partnership with utu, a travel technology firm based in Singapore. This alliance allows Priority Pass members who bought their membership on the Priority Pass website to utilize utu’s tax refund rewards in 50 countries, available in English, Japanese, and Korean, with more languages to be added.

utu offers Priority Pass members the chance to enhance VAT and GST refunds from participating tax-free shopping schemes, providing benefits like:

According to Collinson’s Asia Pacific consumer insights report, customers in the region desire anticipatory services and hyper-personalized offers. This collaboration with utu aligns with these expectations by integrating valuable experiences into customer loyalty programs.

To access this benefit, Priority Pass members should:

  1. Log into their account via the Priority Pass app, head to the Travel Services Section, and activate the benefit to obtain utu Tax Free Card details.
  2. Use these details on a refund form at retail outlets and choose a refund method.
  3. Upon refund processing, members will get an increased cashback or airline miles for their VAT/GST refund.

This feature is currently exclusive to Priority Pass members who’ve purchased directly from the website, with plans to extend it to other members, including eligible credit card holders, in the future.
