Condor Airlines has recently forged a bilateral codeshare agreement with its longstanding partner, Alaska Airlines. This agreement permits both airlines to display their designator codes on each other’s flights, facilitating the sale of these flights through all GDS distribution channels. As a result of this codeshare collaboration, Condor can now promote and sell over 70 routes operated by Alaska Airlines across the U.S.

This summer, Alaska Airlines initiated the marketing and sale of Condor’s non-stop flights to Frankfurt, Germany, from 12 U.S. transatlantic gateways, including New York/JFK, Boston, Washington/BWI, Seattle, Portland (Oregon), San Francisco, and Los Angeles, with more to come. Through this codeshare agreement, Alaska Airlines expands its European travel options by leveraging Condor’s extensive connectivity from Frankfurt to over 100 destinations across Europe and beyond.

In return, Condor gains increased access to Alaska Airlines’ established and expanding U.S. network. This codeshare collaboration also enhances Condor’s involvement in the Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan program, enabling members to earn and redeem miles for Condor flights.

Mikko Turtiainen, Director of Sales, The Americas says that having collaborated closely with Alaska Airlines for over a decade, Condor is excited to enhance our successful interline agreement through the newly established codeshare. This allows them to build upon the foundation of seamless connectivity, as well as streamlined ticket and baggage handling services He adds, “Our new codeshare cooperation with Alaska is taking this seamless connectivity to the next level, where we are now codesharing on numerous Alaska Airlines flights. The codeshare strengthens the Condor network and reach in North America. This gives easier and clearer Condor visibility in the GDS and online booking tools to our travel advisor partners in North America. For example, selling Honolulu to Frankfurt and Frankfurt to Honolulu, with the entire journey and flights booked and ticketed on Condor (DE) codes is a fantastic new offering. The codeshare also truly supports Condor’s winter network, offering Condor connectivity from cities large and small such as Portland, San Francisco, and Boise, through our year-round gateway in Seattle, something that we are truly thrilled to now be able to offer.”
