Costa Cruises is introducing alterations to its sales organization in the North American market, overseen by Dario Rustico, the General Manager of North & South America. This consolidation includes the amalgamation of North America and South America territories. Dario Rustico directly reports to Francesco Muglia, the Global Commercial Senior Vice President.

Ruben Perez, a stalwart of the Costa brand in the United States, will step down from his role as General Manager of Costa Cruises North America after serving at the helm for over 40 years.

“We are sincerely grateful to Ruben for his recognized contribution to the Costa brand in U.S over the years and for his long contribution to the whole Costa organization. His managerial skills have been pivotal to lead the North American team over the past years” – stated Mario Zanetti, President Costa Cruises.

“I am proud of the significant achievements we have accomplished together, and I am sure Costa will continue in providing great cruising experiences to its American guests and valuable travel partners” – stated Ruben Perez.

Effective March 1st, 2024, the North American market will witness a revamped sales organization led by Erik Jaramillo, who assumes the role of Head of Sales, Costa North America. Jaramillo’s responsibilities encompass overseeing strategic and national accounts, charter and incentives, as well as field sales, with direct reporting to Dario Rustico.

Bringing a wealth of experience garnered from various roles within Costa over the years, Jaramillo is well-poised for his new position. Concurrently, the Costa North America sales team will be bolstered with the addition of Yeniss Palacio, Priscilla Reyes, and Becky Tate, who join Costa Cruises as business development managers under Jaramillo’s supervision.

Jaramillo’s journey with Costa Cruises began in 1996, during which he progressively assumed roles in sales, inventory control, e-commerce, web services, revenue management, and business intelligence. Tate, with over 35 years in the travel industry, assumes the role of BDM, overseeing Central and North Florida as well as the East Coast. Reyes, boasting nearly two decades of sales and client services expertise, will handle the West Coast and Canada. Palacio, assigned as BDM for South Florida, the Midwest, and the Caribbean, joins Costa from American Airlines, bringing with her more than 23 years of experience in global sales and marketing.
