How can sustainable traditional tourism back comprehensive and sustainable growth in distant and bordering areas?
Researchers buoyed by the EU-funded TExTOUR scheme have the answer, and it includes beyond participating procedures.
In their study, the investigators clarify that while participating processes –approaches allowing the lively contribution of all associates of a group in decision-making procedures – are essential, they are not sufficient to guarantee sustainable cultural tourism scheduling.
For this to occur, cultural tourism requires including the four mainstays of sustainable growth: financial,
traditional, ecological and societal sustainability.
To put it in a different way, all four mainstays need to be used both in a practical sense and theoretically at every phase of a participating procedure to completely attain sustainable cultural tourism growth.
