Dan Air

In the vibrant skies of the aviation industry, a gem named DAN AIR shines brightly with its roots deeply embedded in Romanian soil. Established in 2017 by the visionary Captain Dan Iuhas, initially under the moniker of Just Us Air, this airline has carved out a distinctive niche for itself. Embarking on a new chapter, DAN AIR is excited to introduce an enticing connection linking Bacău to Madrid, setting the stage for its A320 fleet to grace the skies on this route beginning April 4th. This bi-weekly service encapsulates the airline’s ambition and commitment to bridging distances and cultures.

DAN AIR’s journey from exclusively offering ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, Insurance) services to embracing the skies under its own banner marks a significant pivot in its operational philosophy. Previously serving the needs of globally recognized carriers, the airline has now transitioned to flying under its own flag, focusing on regular services that highlight the company’s growth and evolution. With its operational base now firmly established at “George Enescu” International Airport in Bacău, DAN AIR connects the heart of Romania to key European destinations, having initially taken off from Bucharest and Brasov.

“George Enescu” International Airport, nestled 5 km south of Bacău’s vibrant city center, stands as a testament to Romania’s rich cultural heritage, named after the legendary Romanian composer George Enescu. This airport, sharing its runways with the RoAF 95th Air Base and Aerostar, plays a pivotal role in the region’s connectivity and economic growth.

Meanwhile, Madrid Airport, known colloquially as Barajas, serves as Spain’s aerial gateway to the world. As the busiest airport in Spain and a significant European aviation hub, Barajas has been connecting Spain with the rest of the globe since its inception in 1928. Located within the city limits of Madrid, merely 5.6 miles from the bustling financial district and approximately 8.1 miles from the historic heart of Madrid, Puerta Del Sol, Barajas is more than an airport; it’s a bridge between eras, cultures, and people.

The introduction of DAN AIR’s Bacău to Madrid route is not just an expansion of its operational map; it symbolizes the airline’s ambition to forge new paths in the sky, connecting the rich cultural tapestry of Romania with the historic grandeur of Spain. This venture is a testament to DAN AIR’s growth, resilience, and dedication to providing passengers with exceptional service and memorable journeys across Europe’s skies.
