David Jackson looking at the tourism season of Moray

A famous figure in the tourism sector of Moray has recently said that businesses are by now witnessing high demand before the 2023 season.


Regional director of VisitScotland for Aberdeenshire, Aberdeen, and Moray Speyside, David Jackson, singled out and praised Moray’s best events and said that he hopes the district to build on a great 2022.


He said that it was unbelievable to be able to engross themselves once again in several popular events comprising the various festivals and shows that returned in 2022, like the Country Fair, Gordon Castle Highland Games, Speyfest and the Findhorn Bay Arts Festival among others.


David also said that this year is looking to be yet another demanding one, with different Moray Outdoor Walking Festival, Highland Games, Distilled and of course the impending Spirit of Speyside whisky festival.
The Spirit of Speyside whisky festival has by now witnessed record demand in tickets and judging is already is in progress.


Mr. Jackson said that inside tourism sector, Moray Speyside is developing a new path with new attraction sites and reviving the countryside like the Cabrach.


Also, he added that a close connection with local tourism organisation was paying the dividends.


Mr. Jackson also added that after the tough times of the recent years, their local attractions are all set for what they expect will be a demanding year, with many reporting strong demand for the forthcoming season.
