Among the students and youngsters, dearth of minimum academic knowledge and ignorance toward historical-cultural heritage sites causes negligence of local historic sites in Anantapur district. At present, all the lovers of history and academicians are demanding inclusion of heritage sites in curricula as part of the current academic reforms.

The department of tourism couldn’t succeed in setting up of tourism circuits that would connect the heritage sites and gives authority to a multicultural and inclusive student body to get over the impediments related to social, cultural, economy and topography of the state. Apart from few sites that are getting maximum attention, several monuments couldn’t succeed in attracting even the local institutions.

Forts, monuments, great sculptures, temples and exclusive locations didn’t get much attention due to lack of proper connectivity related to transport and other facilities. Excluding special occasions, the tourist spots have been left deserted all through the year. The concept of connectivity is to provide seamless right to entry to the interior locations along with well-known spots. However, no action has been taken by the concerned departments.

A proposal to create tourism circuits to join all the historic places that are located interiors of Rayalaseema region has been neglected and confined to papers for the last few decade.

To quote K. Siddeswar, a devotee, “Except during the annual fete on Shivarathri, the devotees and tourists face difficulty in reaching the temple because it is located in an interior area on Karnataka borders in Amarapuram mandal, dead end of the southwest of state. It was a university during the 10th century.
