December in Boston – it’s a time when the city takes on the festive spirit

In Boston, when it’s December, winter slowly gets turned in snowy days. If one stake a stroll during that time across the ice-covered Public Gardens to Newbury Street, a holiday shopping point, this is when Boston, a city in Massachusetts, takes on the festive spirit. There’s still time to see “Fashioned by Sargent,” the blockbuster exhibition of the portraits of John Singer Sargent made at the Museum of Fine Arts on 19th-century society figures. This wintry month is a season of music, from the concert of Baroque Christmas with the Handel + Hayden Society at Jordan Hall to the delightful production of Boston Ballet of the Nutcracker hosted at the Opera House of the city.

Boston is the greatest city to walk around in the USA, when brownstones are stylishly ornamented for the season in winters, and the Public Gardens and Boston Common experiences freshly made snow blankets everywhere. On the Boston Common Frog Pond, anyone can indulge in ice skating thrills, one can even discover American history on the Freedom Trail, and on December 7th, one can also be a part of The Beacon Hill Holiday Stroll for shopping experiences and explore that charming neighborhood all on their own. Boston’s First Night festivities on New Year’s Eve, include ice sculptures, parades, entertainment and many more.
