A delegation of women’s wing of industry body FICCI has urged Jammu and Kashmir’s Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to uphold Jammu as a major tourist destination.
The Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh chapter of FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO) delegation was led by ChairpersonRitu Singh.
The delegation members presented various initiatives regarding promoting Jammu as a desired tourist destination, sharing their views on matters concerning public welfare.Promotion of local street food tourism and recycling of waste from the TawiRiver and temples using sustainable measures formed part of the discussion.
The Lieutenant Governor said that his administration would focus especially on J&K tourism, since the region is witnessing substantialgrowth with increased number of tourists and creation and tourism-related infrastructure.
The members praised PM NarendraModi and the administration of the Union Territory for ensuringfast development in J&K.The delegation explained the Lieutenant Governor about FLO’s efforts toward women empowerment, digital knowledge, advancement of startups and creating awareness about environment protection.
