Catalina Island

Getting to Catalina Island needs no effort. One can easily reach by sea or air, and via numerous modes of transportation. One can reach Catalina Island by taking the help of passenger ferry boat. It starts from four mainland ports that are located in southern California. However, to arrive at Catalina, the ferry transport is the most preferred way. The ride is just only about an hour.


From Long Beach, Dana Point and San Pedro, the Catalina Express offers services. The Catalina Flyer provides passenger ferry services, starting from Newport Beach.


If one avails to get to Catalina by helicopter, it roughly takes around 15 minutes via Maverick Helicopters. To Avalon from Long Beach, Burbank Airport, John Wayne Airport, San Pedro, every day departures of helicopters are available.


Via the Catalina Express from San Pedro, transportation to Two Harbors is available. One can travel seasonally as well on the Cyclone boat, between Avalon and Two Harbors.


Also, private charter transportation to Two Harbors and Emerald Bay are available for interested passengers. Also, one can make use of private aircraft or private boat to reach Catalina Island!


The town of Avalon and other places are easy to navigate by foot, once anyone reaches the island. Taxi and shuttle bus transportation can take anyone to the various places in the island.
