On December 15th, at the Departures Level of Athens International Airport, the spotlight will be on Ethiopia, the oldest independent country in Africa, boasting an extensive history as a sovereign nation. Renowned as the birthplace of coffee and distinguished for its significant monuments, Ethiopia captivates with its enduring natural beauty and rich traditions.

Following the recent exploration of India earlier in December, Ethiopia becomes the second stop in the Cultural DestiNAtions program—a cultural initiative presented by Athens International Airport under the artistic guidance of the contemporary culture platform, ελculture. The program is set to continue into 2024, offering immersive experiences from diverse countries across the globe. Each destination fosters an open dialogue with the unique customs and characteristics of its culture, featuring an array of music, culinary delights, and delightful surprises.
