Dubai International has issued a statement via Facebook indicating a temporary limitation on inbound flights to the airport until 04:00 on April 19, 2024, due to significant disruptions caused by a heavy deluge. While inbound flights are restricted, departures from the airport are continuing as scheduled. The airport has acknowledged a backlog in baggage handling, attributing this to resource constraints, and has advised passengers to contact their respective airlines regarding any lost baggage. Efforts are being made to return operations to normal as quickly as possible under these challenging circumstances.

For passengers traveling with Emirates and FlyDubai, check-in has resumed at Terminal 3. However, due to a high volume of guests in the check-in area, the airport is requesting that only passengers with confirmed departure times from their airlines proceed to the terminal. The airport’s staff is dedicated to facilitating passenger travel swiftly despite the current setbacks.

Meanwhile, on a related note concerning global transportation advancements, China Railway has announced the development of a new model, the CR450, which promises to be a significant upgrade over the existing CR400 Fuxing high-speed trains. The CR450, operating at speeds higher than the current 350 kilometers per hour, boasts a 12 percent reduction in weight, 20 percent lower energy consumption, and a 20 percent improvement in braking performance. This development is part of a broader initiative that includes technological advances in infrastructure such as high-speed railways, bridges, and tunnels.

China’s commitment to expanding its transportation capabilities is evident in its construction of the world’s largest high-speed railway network, aimed at meeting the increasing demands for convenient and comfortable travel. The network now spans over 45,000 kilometers and reaches all 31 provincial-level regions in the country with the Fuxing high-speed trains.
