Dubai Parks & Resorts saw a surge in visitor numbers last year

Dubai Parks & Resorts saw an increase in visitor during 2018 attracting almost 2.8 million visitors reflecting an increase of 22 per cent compared to 2017.

 

 

The largest integrated theme park during the quarter four of 2018 had more than 819,000 visits, compared to 796,000 year on year.

 

The visitor number saw a boost in the last quarter of the year benefiting majorly from winter seasonality due to Halloween, half term and winter school break.

 

 

There were special shows and promotions for the visitors to celebrate the festive break during the quarter.

 

 

Mohamed Almulla, managing director, DXB Entertainments was pleased to announce solid growth in visitor numbers during 2018. He said that Dubai Parks & Resorts has establishes itself as the leading leisure and entertainment destination for the region.

 

There was a 22 percent increase in visits last year compared to the previous year and there was an overall footfall of 40 per cent from the international tourists.

 

 

 

In 2018 the average occupancy of the Lapita Hotel went up to 60 percent that reflected a significant improvement as compared to 35 per cent occupancy as reported in 2017. The occupancy peaked close to 100 percent on various dates in December with an average of 63 per cent in the final quarter.
