Before the travel season of the summer kick-starts, the Department of Economy and Tourism of Dubai is all set with its efforts to display the destinations through B2B travel trade engagements like mega
familiarization tours, trade workshops, demonstrations, and road shows all over India, comprising the important cities, tier II and III markets in the first half of 2023.

For Indian travelers, DET is all focused to place Dubai as their first-choice destination. Profiting from close proximity and undeviating connectivity to the cities in India, DET is all geared up to expand its track in secondary markets like India and showcasing the countless offerings that this desert city to offer.

So far the outcomes have been exceptional, with Dubai seeing an extraordinary 23% growth in overnight visitor numbers in the initial 5 months of this year compared to 2019.

DET arranged mega familiarization trips between January – June 2023, bringing more than 200 travel agents from 30 different cities all over Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Gujrat, Delhi NCR, Punjab, and Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh and others.

Taking part in the trade events like ATM 2023 and SATTE 2023 has
assisted them to display Dubai’s offerings to draw new and repeat visitors.
