EgyptAir has created a major global partnership deal with FC Barcelona, a well known team from Spain, with a long history and a lot of tradition in football. They have agreed that EgyptAir will be a Global Partner of Barcelona until the end of the 2028/29 season.

The collaboration highlights EgyptAir’s continued efforts to strengthen its international presence and enhance its position as one of the leading airlines in the region. The partnership forms part of the carrier’s wider growth strategy, focused on expanding its global network, increasing international connectivity, modernising its fleet, improving passenger services and enhancing operational performance.

Over the past two years, EgyptAir has implemented several initiatives aimed at improving its competitiveness in the global aviation market. These developments have supported the airline’s progress in international rankings, including its performance in the Skytrax ratings, while strategic partnerships such as this one are designed to showcase the carrier’s transformation and growing global influence.

As part of the agreement, EgyptAir will serve as the Exclusive Official Airline Partner of FC Barcelona’s men’s first football team, basketball team and handball team. The partnership will provide the airline with extensive global marketing opportunities linked to the club’s worldwide fan base.

The EgyptAir brand will also be displayed on the front of FC Barcelona’s handball team jerseys during official matches, alongside additional promotional and commercial benefits throughout the partnership period.

Through this collaboration, EgyptAir aims to connect its brand with one of the world’s most influential sports organisations while reinforcing its commitment to global expansion, customer experience development and stronger international recognition.

Announcing the global partnership, Capt Ahmed Adel, Chairman of the Board of Directors of EgyptAir Holding Company, said sponsoring one of the world’s most prestigious clubs, and the reigning Spanish league and Spanish Super Cup champions, represents an unprecedented achievement in the history of Egypt’s national carrier and caps the efforts made by EgyptAir over the past two years.

Adel said the partnership brings together EgyptAir’s 95-year history with FC Barcelona’s global sporting leadership, opening new avenues for the airline to connect with football fans around the world.

“EgyptAir has an ambitious plan to maximize the benefits of this partnership and provide exceptional services to its customers worldwide, in line with the company’s vision of raising customer service standards to the highest possible levels and flying the Egyptian flag across the globe,” he added.

He noted that the agreement would also highlight the shared vision of both parties in promoting EgyptAir’s role in connecting cultures, civilizations and peoples, a role that sport has embodied throughout history.

Capt Mohamed Alyan, Chairman of EgyptAir Airlines, said the partnership goes beyond a promotional collaboration, describing it as a reflection of shared values between EgyptAir and FC Barcelona, particularly excellence, commitment and teamwork.

He expressed confidence that the partnership would help strengthen EgyptAir’s position as an ambassador for Egypt worldwide, while supporting its targeted growth and expansion plans and enhancing its ability to compete in the global aviation market.
