easyJet is expanding its popular Fearless Flyer course for 2025, helping more nervous flyers overcome their fears and take to the skies with confidence. After the success of the program, which has helped nearly 14,000 people since its launch in 2012, the airline is excited to announce the 200th Fearless Flyer course will take place on 10 May 2025. To meet growing demand, eight additional courses will be available for booking, running from May 10 through June 23, 2025.
The course offers participants a comprehensive, supportive environment to tackle flying anxiety. It consists of an online course, a pre-flight Zoom session, and a one-hour experience flight to apply newly learned techniques. The new course dates will be held at airports across the UK, including London Gatwick, London Luton, Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow, Belfast, Birmingham, and London Southend. According to official easyJet sources, the program provides flexible locations for participants to choose the most convenient airport near them.
With one in six people estimated to suffer from a fear of flying, easyJet has tailored its Fearless Flyer course to offer reassurance and coping mechanisms. Participants will learn about the various sensations and sounds during a flight, as well as mind techniques to manage anxiety. Senior easyJet pilots and phobia experts, including renowned psychologist Lawrence Leyton, lead the sessions, ensuring a 95% success rate. The airline is proud of this track record and its commitment to helping more people overcome their fears in time for the summer holidays.
Mark Wein, the course director and former nervous flyer himself, explains that often fear stems from a lack of understanding or the fear of panic attacks, both of which the Fearless Flyer course aims to address. He encourages those who are hesitant to fly to take the course and change their lives for the better. Many participants report that learning about the flight process and meeting the flight crew alleviates much of their anxiety.
