This Christmas, easyJet pilots and crew are embarking on a heartwarming mission to deliver children’s letters directly to Santa in Lapland. As part of this festive initiative spanning across Europe, the airline will set up special post boxes at major airports in the UK and Europe in December, anticipating the travel of approximately 200,000 families during the holiday season.

This unique service was introduced in response to research findings that revealed a significant concern among Bristolian children, with 79% fearing that Santa might not locate them during their holiday travels. The study, conducted among 2,000 British parents and their children, disclosed that 59% of kids from Bristol worry about Santa finding them if they spend Christmas away from home, while 96% of Bristolian parents express anxiety about forgetting to pack their children’s Christmas stockings.

Starting today, young travelers passing through airports such as London Gatwick, London Luton, Bristol, and Manchester will have the opportunity to deposit their letters in easyJet’s distinctive orange post boxes located in the airport terminals. The airline is extending its efforts by offering a special letter collection service to local schools near its UK airports, such as Winford Primary School in Bristol, where easyJet’s cabin crew will warmly collect letters for direct delivery to Santa.

These heartfelt letters will be transported on easyJet flights from various locations in the UK and Europe to Rovaniemi in Lapland, Santa’s official residence. The airline’s pilots and cabin crew will personally ensure the safe delivery of these letters to Santa, creating a magical experience for children, regardless of where they spend their Christmas.

easyJet Pilot Hannah Wells, who is set to deliver letters from the UK to Lapland later this month said,

“Christmas is a magical time for families and travelling somewhere festive, for some winter sun, or to see friends and family can make it really special. We hope our Letters to Santa postal service will bring some extra magic to the thousands of families travelling with us around the holidays and to schools in our local airport communities, where our fantastic cabin crew will be making sure that even more wishes are hand delivered to Santa in time for Christmas.”

Additionally, easyJet’s Letters to Santa post boxes will be available at Paris Charles de Gaulle, Naples, and Milan airports throughout December. As part of its expanded services, easyJet is operating its most extensive schedule from the UK to Lapland this year, offering up to four weekly flights to Rovaniemi from Bristol, London Gatwick, London Luton, Edinburgh, and Manchester, as well as up to two weekly flights to Kittila from London Gatwick and Manchester.
