Indian regional airline FLY91 has opened ticket bookings for its Navi Mumbai services, announcing twice-daily flights to Goa and onward connections to Agatti in Lakshadweep. The development forms part of the airline’s winter expansion, which will increase weekly flights from 280 to 354 across 14 destinations, strengthening regional air connectivity in India.

FLY91 Strengthens Navi Mumbai and Goa Air Connectivity

Goa-headquartered regional carrier FLY91 is expanding its presence in western India by adding Navi Mumbai to its growing domestic aviation network. The airline has opened ticket sales for double-daily services connecting Navi Mumbai with Manohar International Airport at Mopa in Goa.

The new route is intended to improve travel opportunities for passengers moving between the Mumbai metropolitan region and Goa, two important centres for business, leisure and tourism.

With two daily frequencies, the airline aims to provide greater flexibility for travellers planning holidays, business visits and short regional journeys.

The expansion also creates an additional departure option for passengers living in Navi Mumbai and neighbouring communities who would otherwise consider other airports serving the wider metropolitan area.

The new connections are part of FLY91’s broader strategy of developing a regional aviation network that links smaller destinations with established commercial and tourism centres.

Agatti Connection Creates New Opportunities for Lakshadweep Tourism

One of the most significant elements of the announcement is the onward flight connection from Navi Mumbai to Agatti through Goa.

Agatti is an important aviation gateway to Lakshadweep, the Indian island territory known for its coral reefs, lagoons, beaches and marine tourism experiences.

The new connection could improve access for travellers from the Mumbai region seeking holidays in Lakshadweep without relying on more complicated domestic travel arrangements.

For the tourism industry, improved aviation links may support travel agencies, tour operators and accommodation providers offering island-based holidays.

However, travellers should confirm the complete itinerary, connecting arrangements and applicable Lakshadweep entry permit requirements before departure.

The announcement reflects growing airline interest in improving access to destinations where scheduled regional aviation is particularly important for visitor movement.

The additional 74 weekly flights will provide greater capacity across the regional network while supporting improved aircraft utilisation.

According to the airline’s winter schedule announcement, the expansion follows the induction of its sixth ATR aircraft.

The revised flying programme is designed to respond to demand across commercial centres, emerging destinations and important pilgrimage routes.

The increase also illustrates the role regional carriers can play in extending domestic aviation beyond India’s largest metropolitan airports.

FLY91 Builds a 14-Destination Domestic Network

The enlarged FLY91 network now includes Goa, Navi Mumbai, Sindhudurg, Jalgaon, Solapur, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Agatti, Kochi, Hubballi, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada and Tirupati.

These destinations represent a combination of commercial centres, coastal tourism markets, regional cities and religious tourism gateways.

Goa remains central to the airline’s operations, while its presence across Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Lakshadweep supports a diversified route network.

The carrier’s regional strategy is particularly relevant in markets where convenient direct air connections are limited.

A broader network may also create additional opportunities for connecting journeys, allowing passengers to travel between smaller cities through selected regional hubs.

New Aircraft Order Supports Long-Term Aviation Growth

FLY91’s latest network development follows its agreement to purchase 40 ATR 72-600 aircraft, valued at approximately US$1 billion.

The aircraft manufacturer ATR announced the agreement on 3 September 2026, confirming that deliveries are scheduled between 2027 and 2032.

The order represents the largest firm ATR aircraft purchase announced by a regional airline and provides a foundation for FLY91’s longer-term fleet expansion.

The ATR 72-600 is designed for regional routes and is suited to operations connecting smaller airports with domestic aviation hubs.

Additional aircraft should give FLY91 greater flexibility to introduce routes, increase frequencies and develop its regional operations as deliveries begin.

The fleet investment also demonstrates the airline’s longer-term commitment to India’s domestic aviation market.
