Egypt’s Minister of Local Development, Hisham Amna, arrived in Zhengzhou, China, on Sunday to attend the International Mayors’ Forum on Tourism, which will take place from September 4 to 6, with the subject “Discovering a new driving force and enhancing tourist cities sustainability.”

Ministers, governors, and local government officials from numerous nations, as well as representatives from international organizations such as the United Nations World Tourism Organization, will attend the summit.

According to Amna, the event is an essential venue for enhancing interaction amongst local government officials in order to solve urban concerns and identify answers in light of the common global difficulties affecting tourism’s sustainable growth.

He went on to say that the forum’s goal is to create a global platform for dialogue between local government officials, governors, mayors, and officials from various tourist cities around the world about the joint development of international tourism and tourist cities, facing common challenges, exploring new sustainable solutions for developing tourism, and developing local management to care for tourist sites.

Amna will attend many sessions and activities on the sidelines of the forum to promote Egypt’s efforts in developing tourism and heritage cities and providing the required infrastructure to unlock their potential and increase their tourism skills.

He will also emphasize Egypt’s efforts to preserve and use its natural and cultural legacy in all tourist cities in order to accomplish long-term tourism goals connected to economic sustainability.

During his participation in the summit, Amna will also have bilateral discussions with many Chinese officials, delegation heads, and VIPs.
