Embarking On A New Era: Ventura Air Services Soars With Sensory Inclusive™ Certification From KultureCity®

KultureCity®, a leading nonprofit organization committed to fostering inclusivity and accessibility for individuals with sensory needs, proudly announces Ventura Air Services‘ achievement in creating sensory-inclusive spaces.

The flagship initiative of KultureCity®, the Sensory Inclusive™ program, has been widely adopted by venues, stadiums, and cultural institutions worldwide. This pioneering program equips staff with training and resources to better accommodate individuals with sensory sensitivities, enabling countless families and individuals to enjoy live events, entertainment, and public spaces with greater comfort. We are delighted to announce KultureCity®’s partnership with Ventura to extend sensory inclusivity to private jet travel and their hosted events.

The certification process involved Ventura Air Services’ staff undergoing training led by medical and neurodivergent professionals to recognize clients with sensory needs and manage sensory overload situations. Sensory bags, containing noise-canceling headphones from Puro Sound Labs, fidget tools, verbal cue cards, and weighted lap pads, will be available to all Ventura clients who may find the environment overwhelming.

Sensory sensitivities, experienced by individuals with autism, dementia, PTSD, and similar conditions, can affect people of all ages. Overstimulation from crowds, lights, sounds, smells, or other stimuli associated with travel can be overwhelming. Grounded in the belief that every individual deserves full participation in life, KultureCity® has been instrumental in promoting a culture of acceptance. Through innovative programs and partnerships, KultureCity® has dismantled barriers that hinder individuals with sensory sensitivities from enjoying public spaces and events. With its new certification, Ventura is now better equipped to ensure clients with sensory sensitivities have the most comfortable and accommodating experience when flying.

Families can download the free KultureCity® App to access information on available sensory features and a Social Story previewing the flight experience with Ventura Air Services before their travels.
