Sustainable travel practices have become increasingly important to tourists. According to the second quarter of 2023 consumer survey, 24% of respondents globally ‘strongly agree’, and 38% ‘somewhat agree’ that they are more devoted to brands advocating for environmental and green issues.

The Bahamas experienced a significant rise in cruise tourism in 2023, witnessing a remarkable influx of visitors. The Traveler Demands and Flows report highlighted that international sea arrivals to the Bahamas in 2023 summed up to 0.25 million trips, marking a 119.02% increase from 2022, which recorded 0.11 million trips.
