Emirates Airline in Dubai has announced it will be operating limited passenger flights for residents and visitors wishing to return home, in light of the COVID-19 or coronavirus outbreak.

The flagship carrier is set to operate flights to a number of destinations throughout Europe, Africa and Asia over the next week this April. Currently, passenger services include Frankfurt on April 25, 27 and 29, Madrid on Wednesday April 29, Johannesburg on Saturday April 25, along with London Heathrow on April 23, 24, 26, 28 and 30.

Emirates Airlines will also operate flights to Manila on April 24, 28 and 30 April, Jakarta and Lagos on Sunday April 26, and Tunis on Thursday April 30.

As with Emirates’ other limited flights, the repatriation flights are only for citizens of the destination countries, and those who meet the entry requirements of the destination will be allowed to board. Emirates has also stated that those travelling to Johannesburg, Lagos, and Tunis must contact the respective embassy first before booking flights.

The flagship carrier has been offering limited flights over the past few weeks, including to Manila, Philippines, to help residents and visitors get home. Emirates has also extended refunds and exchanges on tickets, with the new policy applies to tickets issued before May 31 for travel before August 31.
